This medium sized shaman drum is carefully handcrafted in our workshop in Finland. The drumhead is made of Finnish reindeer skin that is dyed with natural water-based dyes and handpainted with acrylic paints. The frame is bent from birch plywood, and also coloured with water-based dye and waxed with wood wax.
In the ancient world bears enjoyed a very high position in many Eurasian cultures and religions. The Bear King is a remembrance of those times and hopefully will guide you back to the ancient rhythms. Because of the beautiful painting it also works as a decorative element.
The price includes a drumstick for the drum and may differ in color and shape from the mallet in the picture. The drum comes with care and initiation instructions.
